Where is the rollout switch on a Raypak pool heater?
Sounds odd that you turn it on and the switch is open. The rollout switch connects inside the cabinet right behind where the gas pipe comes into the gas valve. I have seen a few cases where the installer moved the rollout switch so they could install the gas pipe and they failed to put it back in place.

It may be a good idea to contact the installer and see if they are a warranty person for Raypak so they can diagnose what has caused the issue. Could just be high winds but it would be no cost to find out for sure. JACUSTOMER-zdajpyq1- : There is a a red plug right behind the gas pipe. I have disconnected the two plugs and reconnected them.

What to do when your water heater says it is open?
Verified garrygoeson : When your heater is displaying “Water Switch Open”, it does not always require the pressure switch to be adjusted. My first suggestion is to thoroughly clean the filter, and make certain the pump basket and skimmer basket is clean of any leaves or debris.

We bought a new heater this season, a Raypak 206,000 BTU NG Electric Heater RHM-15-9962. It heated the pool nicely earlier in the week, but we turned it off when a cool spell was forecast. This morning I tried to turn it on and I get this error message: “Rollout SW Open”.
