Is there a problem with Potterton Promax 24 he plus?
Didn’t really look like a pcb problem but sure enough replaced it with new one and boiler running perfect.

Rang Potterton again and they suggested I tested and renewed the diverted valve motor. Did this and after a few hours, yes you guessed it’ fault code e168. All components have been tested electrically and there don’t appear to be any electrical supply issues. I have just replaced the PCB and keeping my fingers crossed!

Potter ton Gold 33HE. Fault code e168. Reset the boiler and the Same fault reappears after a short time. Contacted Potterton for advise but they couldn’t give me an answer. They said they really don’t know!
Do you need to turn off the tap after filling a Potterton boiler?
If not look on the maker’s website and you can probably download them. yes, the loop does usually look like a flexible hose with a braided stainless steel sheathing. You are supposed to turn off the tap at each end after filling, and/or disconnect it just in case there is a slight leak that can overpressurise your system.

If you press the reset switch on the front, sometimes it will fire up, most of the time it does nothing. It’s totaly random when it does it, and everytime I call the plumber to come out and look at it – it works perfectly fine!
