Are Uni filters any good?
Uni Filter air filters are very good filters and I’ve used them in the past and a huge fan. I used them on my Honda CR 500 and they are awesome. This was a let down for me with my Kingquad as I expected much better performance. I would definitely recommend this air filter.
Can you wash a Uni Air filter?
Products like Simple Green, dish soap, or mild solvents can be used if Uni Cleaner is not available at the time of cleaning. Pour cleaning solution into a bucket; dunk the filter in multiple times until clean. Rinse with warm water. Next you must let the filter dry completely.
Do UNI filters come pre oiled?
The instructions that come with the Uni filters leave a lot to be desired. It doesn’t say if they come pre-oiled, but does mention that you need to keep them oiled. With my K & N filters on my car and ATV I clean and re-oil the filter when it starts to look clogged, which on the car is only about every 30,000 miles.
What can you use as air filter oil?
If you are in a real pinch, you could use regular motor oil on your air filter. It is better than nothing. If you are old-school, you have probably done so on many occasions. The problem is that motor oil pools in the airbox, distributes itself unevenly and can be sucked through the intake tract.
What can I use instead of filter oil?
Can I use wd40 on my air filter?
Quick answer – no, you should not use WD-40 to oil your air filter because they dry up too quickly and leave behind residue that could even block airflow. Always go for a proper air filter oil (squeeze bottle or spray).
What oil can I use on my foam air filter?
– The best oil for foam air filters is a mineral-based oil. Unlike synthetic oil, mineral-based oil will never dry out. A synthetic oil may be good for inside an engine, but when used on a filter in dusty conditions the oil will dry when it comes into contact with dust.
