Have Amazon sound bar connected. Using Panasonic Viera TV remote (change channels, etc.) increases/decreases sound volume. It has been boxed up for a long time.I have checked the remote on a phone camera and it’s blinking fine. Any idea on how to maybe sync it or get it working again. The remote would not normally need to be synced or activated on a surround system. Since it is putting out IR there might be a problem with the surround sound system not the remote.

How can I Fix my Panasonic sound bar problem?
Many thanks… Its normal unfortunately to come across these stupid HDMI CEC issues. My advice would be to unplug everything. Turn the CEC setting off on both devices at the plug, wait 5 mins. Turn back on, plug cable into soundbar first, TV second. Then turn on CEC first on the soundbar and second on the TV.

Can you use a TV remote to control a sound bar?
With the sound bar connected via HDMI, you should automatically be able to use your TV remote to control volume. If you use the optical digital connection, just follow the instructions in the owner’s manual to teach your TV remote to control your sound bar’s volume.
