The Dark Aeons are only available in the PAL and International releases of FFX, and appear after your first visit to Zanarkand Ruins. Also, a few things to keep in mind while fighting these special enemies: All Dark Aeons are immune to all status ailments including all Breaks.

Dark Anima is an optional boss in the International, PAL, and HD Remaster versions of Final Fantasy X. Available after viewing the campfire scene at Zanarkand Ruins, and then completing Wakka’s ball trial on Mt. Gagazet once more, Dark Anima will appear at the entrance to the mountain.

How do you get rid of dark aeons?
You can get weapons with automatic BHL or Ribbon from Dark Aeons themselves. A preferred Dark Aeon to drop these is Yojimbo, whom you have to fight five times to finish off. Engage him four times and if you haven’t got your desired armor yet, leave using the Save Sphere and chase him all over again.
How do you summon dark anima?
Dark Anima can be found at the bottom of Mt. Gagazet after getting the airship, but you must go into the Mt. Gagazet cave first. Complete Wakka’s Blitzball trial again when you are there, and this will summon Dark Anima at the bottom of the mountain.
Where can I get dark matter FFX?
Obtained. Dark Matter can be bribed from Land Worm, with roughly two dropping for 2,000,000 gil. Though expensive, this is the most reliable way to obtain it. Another way to obtain it repeatedly is to battle Dark Yojimbo (in the International and HD Remaster versions).
Is anything in FFX missable?
Yes, the Jecht Shot is missable. If you either don’t go up to the ball on the deck to start the mini-sequence, or if you start it but fail for some reason (I have done both), you will miss out on the Jecht Shot.
