Does COREtec one need underlayment?

Which direction should I lay my vinyl plank floor?

The vinyl plank flooring boards should lay parallel to the longest run of the room. For instance, if the space is 5-feet-by-8-feet, the boards should run along the 8-foot wall. This layout will look best. Start on the left side of the room and work right.

Can Coretec Pro Plus be installed over radiant heat?

COREtec Pro Plus can be installed over 1/2” embedded radiant heat using the floating or glue down method. When gluing floor, use only COREtec cork underlayment adhesive over manufacturer’s recommended substrate. Turn the heat off for 24 hours before, during and 24 hours after installation when installing over radiant heated subfloors.

Can Coretec flooring be installed over existing hard–surface floor coverings?

COREtec flooring can be installed over most existing hard–surface floor coverings, provided that the existing floor surface is clean, flat, dry and structurally sound. Existing sheet vinyl floors should not be heavily cushioned. Soft underlayment and soft substrates will diminish the product’s inherent strength.

Can you put cabinets on top of Coretec?

INSTALLATION COREtec is engineered to be installed utilizing the floating method. Do not install cabinets or fixed objects on top of the COREtec. Proper expansion space is required.
