Why is heel drop important?
The higher the drop i.e. 10mm+, this is suited better for runners who land on their heel (heel strikers) to give them more cushioning and shock absorption and protection of the Achilles tendon area. The lower the drop, the flatter the shoe. The higher the drop, the more built up the shoe is.
What happened to Brooks pure?
Since 2019 the PureCadence, along with the PureFlow 7 and the rest of the Connect experience, are no longer part of our footwear line. While they were all loved shoes, we see many runners gravitating toward support options in other experiences like the Launch GTS or Adrenaline GTS.
