Whilst the HK416 (and subsequent variants) are certainly incredibly good rifles, and any soldier issued with one should be very grateful of such a fine-tuned weapon, nothing beats Soviet-manufactured Kalashnikovs. You can bury them in mud and rubble and dust and oil for weeks and they can come out the other side.
