Is the Onkyo tx-nr656 compatible with Smart TV?

I have a TCL 65R615 smart TV that’s connected to the Onkyo via HDMI and sends audio via ARC. I have been using this setup for months without issue but now when I try to play anything that’s 5.1 all I hear is sound effects and background music (no voices). If I switch to “All Channel Stereo” or “Mono” modes it sounds normal.

My Onkyo 656 needs to have the volume much higher than my old Onkyo so yes the 656 has to been turned up higher to reach required levels. To check crossover, go to setup, speaker, crossover and there will be frequencies that AccuEq set. I changed them to 80hz, if you have tower speakers, set them at full band.
