What to do if your remote control battery is low?

Why is the battery on my Sky remote so low?

The box should only display the low battery alert if it is constantly getting the low battery signal from the remote for many commands in a row. not 1 in 50 commands. It also had this with my old sky remote. and still do but less often.

Why are the batteries in this remote need changing?
