Where was the Ace Ready Steady Cook held?
The Association of Catering Excellence’s annual Ready Steady Cook competition was held on Thursday 26th September at East Wintergarden in Canary Wharf, London. Launched in 1999, the competition celebrated its 21st anniversary this year.

How do you prepare a meal for a competition?
People may need to take it in turns at different stations (for example, washing, chopping, and cooking), depending on the space and facilities you have. Each group should get their meal ready to serve, thinking about taste and presentation. Once their dishes are ready, each group should present them to the judges.

How long does it take to make a dish on Ready Steady Cook?
The chefs had to make several dishes out of the said ingredients (and a generously stocked kitchen containing basic ingredients and aids) in 20 minutes, with the help of the contestants and the programme host. As the contestants taste the prepared food, the host asks the chef some questions about their dish.
Is there going to be a Ready Steady Feast?
In the CBBC show Horrible Histories, during Series 1 and 2, a parody of the show called Ready Steady Feast was one of the sketches. It featured different historical characters bringing in foods from their historical era. On 2 September 2019, it was confirmed that Rylan Clark-Neal would host a revived daytime series on BBC One in 2020.
