Click to expand… Go from the bottom first – both sides of the engine. Get a good light and a telescoping inspection mirror. You should be able to get a good look up in there. Look for black soot marks around the bellows, the heat shield, around all exhaust joints, and exhaust manifold connections.

It happens at low boost pressure and seems to go away when it builds more pressure. I’m getting lots of boost when the engines working it will give about 25-30 psi. I ordered new intercooler charge pipe and boots as mine was in terrible shape, replaced those parts last night and I’m still getting the noise.
