Why does my boiler say room stat is off?
The boiler is a ideal logic combi 30 boiler. The thermastat is a The central heating has stopped working and the boiler says timer / room stat is off. The hot water works fine. However, the thermostat is not off. We have tried replacing the batteries and holding the thermostat near the receiver (which is built into the boiler) but nothing happens.
Is the boiler still running even with the programmer off?
Felt the radiator in the bedroom and it was red hot. Checked the room stat (DT90E) on the landing and the temp was showing 25C set at 21C. Checked the programmer and both heating and hot water were off, the boiler was still running. Radiators cold downstairs and room stat 20C set 21.5C.
What happens to the boiler when the timer is off?
Hot water side of timer works fine, timer turns it on/off and tank-stat does the same. Boiler coming on and off as it should. When heating is in off position the pump and boiler still fire up when room-stat is high enough.
