Why does my Denon monitor not work with my Sony TV?

The HDCP HDMI handshake does not work most of the time, so I have to pull out the TV from output 1 and it works fine. Trying to figure out a solution other than the pull out method, no pun intended. I’m hoping turning off the standby power function of my Sony TV will help the monitor output issue.
