IF the voltage goes up on the chassis post and then goes up on the house battery post (above 13.3 volts) then it is for charging the house battery while driving to maintain the battery. I would call Monaco Tech Support to find out for sure.

Why does my Cummins Engine click but not start?
That is assuming your batteries are really good. If it clicked once and now does nothing at all, no more clicks then I would look at the fuses. It could be caused by a number of things: a bad battery, faulty starter and solenoid or loose/dirty battery connections.

2003 Monaco Windsor,Cummins 8.8 L . That kind of voltage drop would indicate: Weak battery OR bad cable connection OR bad starter. Start by having the batteries load tested, remove, clean and properly tighten all large connections between battery and starter. If the problem continues, suspect the starter. How old is the battery on my Monaco Windsor?
Rich. The battery was 10 years old. Ron, 10 year old batteries are 115 years old in people years. Our 2002 Monaco Windsor started up then cut off 2 times now we get nothing in the dash to light up and it won’t start. Anyone help? Location:Where ever the wheels stop ?

I have a 2003 HR Ambassador that had 2 recall for suspension concerns done in 2005. The recall included 2002, 2003 and some 2004 Monaco Knight, Cayman, HR Ambassador, Neptune, Safari Cheetah, Sahara and Zanzibar. A few days ago I was driving my RV on I80 near Sacramento and it started to get very “squirrely” on me.
