Why does the timer flash on my Fujitsu airconditioner?

I have a Fujitsu ASTA12JEC model airconditioner and recently have started to have issues with it suddenly not producing cold air. When this occurs, the operation light on the indoor unit will go out and the timer light will flash 3 times every 10 seconds. I reset the unit at the switch board and its good to go but will stop again in no set time.
