Why is my heater not working on my F53?
OH MY GOD, it is the blower motor messed up, cause its getting 12V but not working. Was able to pull one of the vents out on the front of the dash & kinda got some access to the blower motor wires, ol test light lit right up when the switch was turned on.
What is the power feed on a F53 heater?
Looking at the schematic for that year f53 the blower motor power feed is a brown wire with orange stripe. I dont suspect the blowermoter resistor because typically they will only work in some speeds and not others.

Why is the relay on my F53 not working?
If I understand a relay, it is for operating the high speed side of the fan. It has two sets of contacts inside with one that is normaly closed for the lower speeds, but when you go to high speed, a coil is energized to pull a more heavier duty set of high speed contacts together.

What to do if your Ford truck heater is not working?
For what its worth – you might consider bringing in your rig to a ford truck dealer – a non functioning blower is a pretty common problem and diagnosing/fixing is usually no big deal. The hard part is knowing where/how to get access to the test the parts.
