Why is my pioneer VSX 1124 saying ue33?

At that point I was getting the UE33 error. So I looked that up online and read it was due to a firmware update failure. So then I attempted to update via USB, that succeeded no problems. Logging into the router online says it has the right bios version.

Have you verified that the software update is for your particular model as sometimes the device looks for a particular file name when updating and if that is not correct it won’t update.

This just happened to my Pioneer Elite VSX-52. Followed audioken tip except heated the whole entire board at about 4″ high with heat gun… Problem resolved. Hope I will get a few more years out of this unit (which I love).
