Why is my vokera combi boiler losing pressure?
Why is my vokera combi boiler losing pressure?
I have a Vokera combi boiler that has been losing pressure (over a few hours from 1.5 bar – 0bar). I have released the pressure by bleeding a radiator, and then checked the expansion vessel via valve and it was totally empty. So i topped up the expansion vessel (when system was at 0bar).

When to turn off the burner on a vokera boiler?
Once your boiler reaches set CH temperature, the burner will stop for minimum 3 minutes and in the instances where temperature of central heating reached required level your boiler will turn off the burner automatically. Don’t forget that your appliance should be cleaned with a clean damp or soft cloth.
Why is the water pressure on my vokera going up?
The water pressure just increases due to the expansion vessel air side pushing the water side. If you try the valve on the expansion vessel and find no air in it despite having pumped air into it earlier, then the vessel is faulty.

What should the pressure be on a vokera?
The pressure increased by 0.3 bar and stayed at 1.8bar during the time it was running. turned heating off and popped out, upon return pressure had resettled at just below 1.5 bar. normally the pressure would have completely or very nearly totally dropped down to 0.5 – 0 bar by now, so fingers crossed all is good. Heat likes this.
Why is my vokera expansion vessel losing pressure?
As no water escaping when valve pressed and system pressure rising when you pump air into vessel, then the vessel might be okay. Just be careful to check the Schrader valve isn’t leaking air once air pressure done. (I damp my finger and press it partly over uncapped valve to see if any bubbles happen)
