Why is the idea tree important to students?

Why is the idea tree important to students?

Idea Tree is dedicated to giving students choice and a voice over what they learn, how they learn, when they learn, and how they present their results. Thank you to the XQ team for opening up the conversation and pushing us to truly #ReThinkHighSchool. Here are some highlights as to why we are different and why you should choose us:

Who are the supporters of the idea tree?

Idea Tree is supported by the Chaffey Joint Union High School District (CJUHSD), including our superintendent and the district administration. Idea Tree has secured a fully operational facility that can host our opening enrollment of 300 students and has the ability to meet growing enrollment needs.

Can a hand saw be used to cut trees?

Clearing out branches is a cakewalk. And even thicker branches and trees can be cleared with this one with no problem at all. Bear in mind that it is not a chainsaw. You still have to move it back and forth. However, it is a lot easier. Operation of this is easy. Just push the button. That will do the job.

Can a hand saw be set in place?

The locking pin, which sets the saw blade in place, is a bit difficult to secure. This can be time-consuming. Owing to its electric build it can cut through almost anything and if the blades wear down, you can get easy replacements for just a couple of bucks. And, replacements do not necessarily have to be of the same kind.

Where does the idea for the idea tree come from?

Idea Tree draws inspiration from unique school models such as The Mountaintop Project at Lehigh University , Iowa BIG, and others around the country who are rethinking education.

What to do with sawdust from tree stumps?

Sawdust from a tree stump is a welcome additive to a compost pile or bin, in moderation. Being high in carbon, sawdust is considered “brown” matter and should be balanced out with a healthy addition of “green,” nitrogen-rich matter, such as fruit and vegetable scraps from the kitchen.
